I am With you
The promise that the Lord has given our church this month is from Jeremiah 1:19 "And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee". God calls Gideon who was full of doubt and fear and says “The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valor!”(Judges 6:12). The Lord calls Jacob who was like a worm and tells him that he will thresh the mountains and beat them small and make the hills like chaff because The Lord will help him (Isaiah 41:14). He is a God who encourages us and comforts us daily saying "Fear not, for I am with you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"(Isaiah 41:10). Do you feel surrounded by mountain like problems and opposition, which seem beyond your strength to bear? Do not be discouraged, for you have a God who raises the banner on your behalf as a mighty and terrible warrior! (Jer 20:11). The very reason he created us, was for His glory to be manifested through us. The first secret for us to be victorious in our life is, to be focused on God who is always with us. We should fix our eyes on Him. Our focus should be on the truth that He is always with us. "They shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways"(Deut 28:7). Do not be afraid as soon as they come against you in one way.Be eager to see them flee before you in seven ways, because The Lord is with you! Secondly, Focus on your victory. And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee. Come what may, even if they throw you into the furnace heated seven times higher, you will be prosperous through it all (Dan 6:28) The Lord tells Moses, “Send men to spy out the land of Canaan, which I am giving to the children of Israel(Num 13:2) He sends them declaring their victory. Therefore celebrate your victory! Do not be afraid. This is a spiritual battle. So do not struggle with humans. "For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand" (Eph 6:12-13).
